    A Lil' Tidbit 'Bout Us    

Tilton Man's Life Is Saved 

Life Savers with William Maag and his family are: Gutterridge Employees Michael Gutterridge, Roger Gutterridge, Bere Shutes, Larry Davis; Tilton EMS Providers Todd Schultz, Brian Schull, Dan Pentecost, Sarah Hudson and Tilton Fire Captain Richard Austin and Medix Employees Roger Lange and Matt Myers.On September 28th 2010, Tilton resident William Maag was walking home from a gas station when he suddenly collapsed dead on the back parking lot of Gutterridge Harley Davidson. Mr. Maag was discovered by employee Larry Davis, unknown how long he had been laying there. Mr. Davis ran inside the shop to summons help. 911 was called and Gutterridge employees Michael Gutterridge, Roger Gutterridge and Bere Shutes rushed outside and began CPR. Tilton Ambulance personnel arrived on scene and EMS personnel took over CPR. They attached thier AED to Mr. Maag and defibrillated him twice, and continued CPR. Shortly there after, Mr. Magg regained a pulse. Medix paramedics arrived at the request of Tilton and an advanced airway was put in place assisting Mr. Maags breathing. William Maag was transported to Danville Provena USMC where he began breathing some on his own, he was stabilized and airlifted to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana where he was rehabilitated.

The Tilton Ambulance Service is dedicated to serving our community by providing a valuable service.  Our membership is growing at a steady pace. This events proceeds in the past have enabled the Ambulance service to send students to E.M.T. Basic class, enroll students in the E.M.T. Intermediate Class, send our volunteers to Pediatric Emergency Prehospital Providers Class, and send them to International Trauma Life Support Classes.  The Tilton Ambulance Service continues to strive in helping our community.
